Southern Spice: Places to visit in South India

Hyderabad: We dream of exotic locales to unwind and let go of all the baggage that we so-often carry. We think vacations and holidays and imagine ourselves on the white sands and foreign lands.

In doing that, seldom do we realise that our country, especially the Southern part has a treasure of beautiful places, tucked away into pockets, far from the hustle and bustle that gets on our nerves, available at less pocket burning prices.
 

 

Telangana

When it comes to catering to flocks of tourists, newly formed state Telangana isn’t far behind. From the forts and palaces that Hyderabad has to offer, to the ones that Warangal boasts of,  no one will get bored in the land of richness. From modern architecture and city escapades, to the religious getaways, Telangana is slowly and steadily establishing itself as the tourist destination you would have on your wishlist.
 

Andhra Pradesh

Andhra is heaven for tourists. From its coasts to its hills, Andhra Pradesh caters to every kind of tourist there can be. From the beaches and waterfalls of Visakhapatnam to the forts and architectural marvels of Nellore, you won’t be disappointed if you decide to explore the richness of culture and modern amenities that Andhra Pradesh can dish out for you. 

Apart from Visakhapatnam, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations here, you could also try Vijayawada, known for its caves and forts, Chitoor for its magnificent hills and wildlife sanctuaries, Kurnool, Kadapa, Ongole or even Rajahmundry. If you believe in unwinding with the almighty, there’s plenty of options: from Tirupati, Anantapur and Puttaparthi, you have several destinations to help you connect with the divine.
 

Karnataka

From the laid-back to the adventurous, from the God-fearing to the pub-hopping, welcome to Karnataka, that can take care of any mood that you’re in. From the cosmopolitan holidays that Bangalore can offer you, to a trip that to Mysore that gives you a royal glimpse, from the heritage of Bidar and Hampi that can blow you away, to the hills of Coorg to the serene beaches of Mangalore and Gokarna, go live up your leisure time in the way you want!

Tamil Nadu

Having a couple of World Heritage sites is itself sufficient to boost tourism. To add to it, there’s the major cities, beaches, hills and religious spots that make Tamil Nadu a one-stop destination for people interested in a complete package holiday. Kerala

God’s own country blessed with the spices, beaches, hills and plains, this is one of the hot spots of tourist activities. From the backwaters of Alleppey to the houseboats you could unwind yourself in, Kerala will exceed your expectations. The beautiful beaches at Kovalam and Kochi will mesmerise you.
