Suicide bombing in Bihar civil court; 2 prisoners flee

New Delhi: Two prisoners fled from Ara Civil Court on Friday after a bomb blast in the court left three dead and fifteen injured outside the Civil Court in Bihar’s Arrah district.

A female suicide bomber went to the hajat of the court, where prisoners are brought from the jail for hearings, and detonated the bomb providing the distraction needed for two prisoners to escape, who had been brought to the court for a hearing.

The injured were rushed to Southern Hospital, Arrah.

The administration rushed to the spot to investigate and the bomb squad has been called in to assist the investigation. They have not confirmed whether it is a terrorist attack.

This is the second attack at the court in the last few years.
