Preparations in full swing for Modi’s rally in Delhi

Date:

New Delhi: The preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally on January 10 in the national capital are going on in full swing with the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party targeting an audience of over one lakh for the event.

As many as twelve committees have been constituted by Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay and committee members will look after the preparations of transportation and decoration for putting up the mega show at Ramlila Ground.

“LED screens are being installed at the venue so that more people can watch PM Narendra Modi. Besides, we have made sitting arrangements for more than one lakh people at Ramlila Maidan,” Ashish Sood, who is in-charge of venue, said.

With the PM’s rally, the BJP will kickstart its campaign to capture power in the national capital after a gap of 16 years.

Party is also looking forward to install big LCD screens at various ISBTs, railway stations and big markets across the national capital so that people can watch the live telecast of Modi’s speech.

“We want that people who are not able to come to the venue can also watch Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We are considering to install big LCD screens at railways stations, ISBTs and big markets in city so that they can watch PM live,” Upadhyay said.

He also said Chief Ministers of Jharkhand, Haryana and Maharashtra will also be attending Modi’s rally on January 10. Apart from that, district presidents of the party have been asked to submit daily reports to the state BJP office.

Party has also installed hoardings ‘Chalo Chale Modi Ke Saath’ across the national capital to draw more people to the venue.

BJP national general secretary (Organisation) Ram Lal had on December 30 directed party leaders and workers that from each sahari kendra (polling centre), one bus should be arranged so that a large number of people come to hear Modi’s speech.

He had also asked its Delhi unit leaders to put up only Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photo on electoral hoardings and posters with the party’s slogan of ‘same government in state and at Centre’.
