6 most loved phones of all time

Date:

New Delhi: Smartphones have become an integral part of our life. Our desire for more and better has put life as well as selection of the best phone into a complicated dilemma.

While it may seem to most consumers that all smartphones are pretty much the same – and for Apple users, they are – Android phone manufacturers brought a diverse array of hardware to the market in 2014.

The theme of the year was standout features, including large (and even curved) displays, water-resistant designs and powerful cameras. Manufacturers competed fiercely to win the favour of consumers, and many handsets stood out for very specific reasons.

Today buyers are confused among phone’s appearances and their new improvised features. NewsMobile brings you a few phones that made people love them the most and were the best sellers, too.

Nokia 3210

This was the first phone of this generation that was released in year 1999. People were happy with the ability of the phone too, which had option to give reminders for meetings, adjust dates and timings even being on a train, texting short messages while long conversation is not required or not possible.

Even the T9 dictionary was provided for spelling check. It had three games and calendar to manage schedule. These features at that time were something to cheer about and gained love amongst users.

Motorola Razor V3

Launched in year 2004, the original Razor V3 came with a folding angular flipper and a thin appearance making it number one among the design and style criteria. It seemed that it was made to break the lightness and thinness awards as it was designed with carbon fibre concept.

Razor V3 had a thin keypad along with Klingon command and a 176 x 220 resolution colour display. Although its VGA camera was unable of capturing things clearly but it wasn’t a big deal as in 2004 having a stylish design phone was really cool.

Sony Ericsson K800i

Sony came up with one of its coolest phones in year 2006, the K800i. The phone featured 3.2 MP rear camera with autofocus, flash, dedicated shutter button and a cute little sliding lens cover.

Sony introduced the burst mode photo tool in this phone which allowed the users to capture nine shots at a time and to keep the best one for memories. few may find its look a bit clunky, but this phone was used by James Bond, in the movie Casino Royale, which gave it a even more fan following.

Nokia N95

Nokia was the King for newly emerging market of Smartphones for a few years. In 2007 Nokia introduced a phone that had S60 or symbian OS. Having a 5 MP camera phone was big thing those days and along with that Nokia added a few more features like GPS, Wi Fi, a web browser and HSDPA radio support.

Thanks to Nokia for inserting a powerful processor inside a mini gadget. Moreover, N95 had all the specifications of today’s advanced smartphones but the only difference was in its loading speed, which was very slow then.

Blackberry Bold

Released in 2008, this Blackberry Bold 9000 series model carried the power to kick out Apple’s newcomer from a neck to neck competition. It was a solid phone, moulded with leatherette back, with a QWERTY keypad and large display.

Compared to other BB models it was a slimmer and supported all the features like today’s smartphones that include, GPS, Wi-Fi, camera SD card memory updates and many more. Sporting all such features this phone was a winner.

iPhone 5

This was sixth generation of iPhone, succeeding the iPhone 4S. Formally unveiled as part of a press event on September 12, 2012, it was released on September 21, 2012.

The phone was solid, slim and built with a tough glass on the back as well. The RAM that run through the phone was double than iPhone 3GS which enabled its iOS to run perfectly. The centre of attraction in the phone was its camera, with a backside-illuminated 8 MP sensor that produced superb results and facilitated the users to capture their whole life in their phone itself. The phone sported a 2MP front camera too.
