Youth want Modi-fied India

Date:

New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government on Wednesday completed six months in office. His extraordinary interest in the foreign policy, his fascination for technology, his ever-growing appeal within the middle-class and the feeling that India has found a leader who will take the country to a greater height are the immediate conclusion of his six-months-old government.

A disciplined individual, Modi, is the new Mr Clean of the nation. While his love for cleanliness exhibits from his addresses he has made so far, his understanding and management of the officials has made him the man who never compromises on his principals.

Be it his grand affair at the Madison Square Garden in the US or the record turnout at the Allphones Arena in Australia, every occasion he spoke on showed his excellent oratory skills and the chord connecting abilities, which garnered cheers and applauds on every sentence he spoke.

While his bold and visionary steps like Make in India and Jan Dhan Yojana made him the favouriate of the business arena, his steps like ‘Mann ki Baat’ and addressing children on the Teacher’s Day brought him close to the youngsters.

That he has become the one face of the diversified India is a foregone conclusion, the real test of the government is yet to come as the nation is staring at huge fiscal deficits and hopes for some solid reforms in the forthcoming Budget Session.

While Modi is in Nepal for the 18th SAARC Summit, NewsMobile brings you the view of young India – what they think, what they feel and what they expect – on the completion of six months of the NDA government.

Ashish Jha, a pass-out of IIMC Delhi, feels six months is not enough to judge the government, he feels the initial efforts of the government is on the right track but hopes for better governance in the years to come.

Shah Saaib, a student of Sharda University, said the moves taken by the Modi government has been effective and different from the previous UPA government.

Meanwhile, Jhalak Nagpal, an aspiring Journalist said Modi should act as a national face and come out of the ‘Gujarat Shell’. He said Modi needs to act as the Prime Minister and not the CM of Gujarat.

Few students whom we spoke to also felt that Modi’s words were succeeding his actions and suggested that he should work more and speak less.
