Namo govt does Bureaucratic Shakeup

New Delhi: Hours before leaving for the United States, Prime Minster Narendra Modi has given the central bureaucracy a major shake up. Eight secretary level officers have been transferred in a mid night order by Cabinet’s Appointment Committee on Thursday.

The order came a day after over 40 joint secy level officers were reshuffled on Tuesday late night.  
Those who are shifted, are : Aradhna Joshi IAS UP:1980 serving as Secretary. Department of Pharmaceuticals will now posted as Secretary Disinvestment in the Ministry of Finance replacing Ravi Mathur IAS RJ;1979 who demits office in the month end.V K Subburaj (IAS TN 80) will be the new Secretary. Department of Pharmaceuticals.  He was till now serving as Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled castes  He replaces Aradhna Joshi.
Kusumjit Sidhu IAS PB 1979 serving as Secretary Department of Public Enterprises will now move as Secretary.  Department of Justice in the Ministry of Law and Justice.
Satyanarayana Mohanty IAS AP:1980 who was serving as Secretary, NDMA under MHA will now don the mantle as new Secretary, Department of Higher Education, and Ministry of Ministry of Human Resource Development.He will replace Ashok Thakur IAS HP:1977 who demits office on the last day of September
 
Surjit Kumar Chowdhary IAS TN:1980) serving as Secretary, National Commission for Minorities will be the new Secretary Chemical and Petrochemicals. Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers.
He will replace Inderjit Pal IAS AP:1977 who also retired in September end
 
Kapil Dev Tripathi IAS AM:1980 till now serving as Secretary CVC will be the new secretary. Department of Public Enterprises.He replaces Kusumjit Sidhu on her relinquishing the charge
 
R Vijyakumar IAS TN:1978) will be new secretary. Ministry of DoNER. Presently serving as Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, he replaces Rajiv Takru IAS GJ:1979 on his relinquishing the charge
 
Rajiv Takru will be the new Secretary, National commission of Minorities.Takru was serving as Secretary DoNER and replaces S K Chowdhary/

PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh are the only two members of ACC which decide on transfers and postings of Joint Secretary and above level officers in the government of India.
