Mumbai: After the successful release of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom, the Bollywood has again geared up to produce another biopic, and this time, it is India’s captain cool, M S Dhoni.
The film titled ‘M.S Dhoni – The Untold Story’, stars Sushant Singh Rajput, who will portray the current captain of the Indian national cricket team.
Rajput recently shot to fame with his debut movie Kai Po Che, which was inspired from Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘3 Mistakes of my Life.’
Sakshi, Dhonis’ wife, shared the poster on micro-blogging site Twitter, clearing airs related to the movie that appeared recently. “Clearing out all those rumours being carried out past few days. It was all false.. Here you go ….BOOM !!!”, she tweeted.
A couple of weeks ago, there were numerous rumours of the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) objecting the making of the film, however the BCCI confirmed that there was no issue, as long as the film didn’t affect the cricketer’s professional work.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the biopic is not just on the wish list of movie lovers but the millions of cricket fans who are waiting for this film to release. Since cricket is a religion in India, Dhoni’s biopic can already be expected to be a blockbuster.
The film is set to release in 2015.
