Los Angeles: The iPhone maker Apple has once again topped the list of Britain’s CoolBrands top 20, third time in a row, beating Google, Aston Martin, Nike, and other giants.
Technology brands continue to dominate the CoolBrands Top 20 list, occupying eight of the 20 places. Google and YouTube made repeat appearances, in sixth and seventh place respectively, along with Bang & Olufsen in eleventh place, Bose in fifteenth and Sony in eighteenth place.
The social micro-blogging website Twitter failed to retain its position in the top 20 list, while Instagram and Netflix made the list for the first time, the DailyStar reported.
A total of 13 brands retained in the top 20 list from last year, including Chanel and Nike while giants like Adidas, Prada and BBC iPlayer slipped out of the list.
The results follow an independent poll of over 2,000 British consumers and opinion formers – including musicians Ella Eyre, Labrinth, Laura Mvula and Reverend and The Makers, digital entrepreneur and founder of SB.TV Jamal Edwards, and models Jodie Kidd and Sophie Dahl.
CoolBrands spokesman Stephen Cheliotis said that Apple continues to dominate the listing and remains untouchable for now.
