You rocked: Sushma tells NaMo

Date:

New Delhi: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned from Japan after his five-day visit on Wednesday, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj went to the Indira Gandhi International Airport to receive him as she was elated over the success of the trip.

“Sushma Swaraj ji told me that the visit has generated lot of positivity and optimism in India about our ties with Japan. Glad to know,” Modi tweeted later. Sources said Swaraj decided to go to the airport to meet Modi especially to convey her happiness over the “success” of the visit.

She was seen telling something to Modi as he came down from the special plane and the two shared a laugh. Normally, for the past several years, no minister receives the Prime Minister at the airport when he returns from a foreign tour. During his visit, Modi struck the chord with Japanese leadership and business community while inviting them to invest in India.

“This visit has been very successful,” Modi had said at the Indian community reception hosted in his honour earlier.
