Jet Airways to fly from Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City from Nov 5

Date:

Mumbai: Private carrier Jet Airways on Wednesday announced the launch of a flight to the Vietnamese commercial centre Ho Chi Minh City from New Delhi via Bangkok from November 5 with an all inclusive economy fare of Rs 37,506.

Besides, the airline plans to introduce a third daily direct service in addition to the already operating two flights from its international gateway Mumbai to Bangkok in the coming winter season, Jet Airways said in a release here.

The airline also plans to introduce a third daily direct service from Mumbai to Bangkok during the winter season starting October end, it said. Jet passengers from Mumbai would get a connecting flight to Ho Chi Minh City via Bangkok.

As part of its strategy, the airline would provide customers with a seamless passenger experience through its main gateways of Mumbai and Delhi, it said.

The Naresh Goyal-promoted airline, in which Etihad Airways holds 24%, had in October 2011 signed a comprehensive strategic co-operation agreement with Vietnam Airlines.

“Jet Airways is delighted to provide a direct link from Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City via Bangkok and an all new daily direct frequency from Mumbai to Bangkok. The introduction of these new services are in keeping with the growing popularity amongst our guests, for enhanced seamless connectivity within the ASEAN region and India,” Jet’s senior Vice-President (Commercial) Gauarang Shetty said.

The Ho Chi Minh City will be the airline’s 22nd global destination. The new afternoon service from Mumbai for Bangkok would provide seamless connectivity to passengers from the airline’s domestic network, it said, claiming that this would make Jet the only domestic carrier to operate three flights a day on the Mumbai-Bangkok sector.
