Washington: A Chinese Film Company has announced that they will make an epic 3D movie titled ‘Bainiaoyi’, meant to compete with James Cameron’s film ‘Avatar’.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the movie would be based on the folklore of the Zhuang ethnic minority, a culture designated with national heritage importance by the Chinese Ministry of Culture.
The film would be produced by Beijing Chinese Century Media Company, and the team would include special effects directors from ‘Avatar’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ as well as a scriptwriter from ‘Terminator 2’ and ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, all of which have been big hits in China.
