New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday met the top brass of the Income Tax department and Central Board of Direct Taxes and discussed all issues related to tax collection. Jaitley inaugurated the two-day annual conference of principal chief commissioners, principal director generals, chief commissioners and director generals of income tax in New Delhi. This is the 30th Annual Conference of heads of the Income Tax Department. The major focus during the two-day conference would be on the accountability of assessing officers, non-filers monitoring system, data warehousing and business intelligence, role of directorate of I and CI in changing scenario, search, seizure and surveys – study of effectiveness among others.
