Students happy as DU begins its session on time

Date:

New Delhi: The students are back in DU colleges as the sessions resume on Monday. It comes after a month-long hassle over Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP), which delayed the admissions for over a week.

Various DU colleges organised orientation programme on Sunday to introduce the freshers with their curriculum and new courses to stay in without any confusion. In the orientation, the newly-enroleled students were informed about their courses, time tables and rules and regulations of the college including the attendance requirements. Colleges also updated the information on their respective web-sites to clear all sorts of confusions.

“Our time tables and orientation details have already been posted on our website and the appointment of ad-hoc teachers is underway. After the chaos has ended, we are optimistic of a smooth flow of the academic session,” said Pratibha Jolly, Principal, Miranda House.

“The FYUP deadlocks lead to chaos and uncertainty for students, parents as well as the faculty. But now that it has ended and the university has been determined to stick to the schedule, the session is going to commence without any hassles,” said S K Garg, President Principal’s Association and Principal, Deen Dayal Upadhyay College.
