International monitors arrive at Ukraine crash site

Date:

A team of international monitors arrived on Friday at the site in rebel-held eastern Ukraine where a Malaysian jet crashed with 298 people on board after apparently being downed by a surface-to-air missile.

An AFP reporter at the scene said a group of pro-Russian insurgents allowed the 30-person Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) team to inspect the location after a few minutes of negotiations.
