New Delhi: Omveer, BJP President of Meerpur city unit in Muzaffarnagar, was shot dead by assailants who came on a bike on Tuesday. The murder comes two days after the killing of BJP leader Vijay Pandit in Dadri.
The killing coincides with the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s meeting with top officials over the deteriorating law and order in the state.
Akhilesh called a meeting of all divisional commissioners, district magistrates, IGs, DIGs and district police chiefs, besides top government officials.
