Mission Mars

Date:

NASA‘s space shuttle fleet began setting records with its first launch on April 12, 1981 and continued to set high marks of achievement and endurance through over 30 years of missions.

And now, NASA’s goal for the Human Exploration of Mars is an extremely difficult engineering challenge. A thorough understanding of the Martian environment is critical to the safe operation of equipment and to human health, so the Mars Exploration Program will begin to look at these challenges in the coming decade.

Eventually, humans will most likely journey to Mars. In the video we take an inside look at NASA’s next steps in deep space exploration — from the space station, to an asteroid and on to the human exploration of Mars.
