Jaipur: Rajasthan Congress leader Sachin Pilot grilled the Vasundhara Raje Scindia government for trying to suppress the Bakani rape case, where a minor girl was allegedly gang raped and murdered in a village in Jhalawar district.
According to Sachin Pilot, the victim’s family was turned down by the police when they went to lodge a complaint. But after the girl went missing on Saturday, a constable at the Bakani police station who refused to file a complaint was suspended for dereliction of duty.
“Even after four days, no government representative met the family. The local MP and son of the chief minister, Dushyant Singh has not even visited the family.
