New Delhi:Â RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat escaped unhurt in a road accident on Wednesday. The saffron leader’s convoy was hit by a car in the Delhi Cantt area.
The accident occured near Parade Road at the Cantt around noon when he was on the way to airport to take a flight to Gorakhpur. RSS chief left in his private vehicle to the airport from the accident spot, sources said, adding, no one was hurt in the incident.
RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav later tweeted, “Bhagwatji is perfectly ok and left on his tour.”
“Due to d impact of d crash d security vehicle was pushed forward n slowly pushed Bhagwatji’s vehicle. Nothing happened to Mohanji,” he said in another tweet.
Driver of the Toyota, which hit Bhagwat’s convoy has been detained by the police.
