Hyderabad: People celebrated, burst firecrackers and broke into street dance in Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh on the eve of formal birth of India’s 29th state Telangana. The parliament passed a bill to create a separate state of Telangana by bifurcating the state of Andhra Pradesh. Chairman of an activist group, Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC), M. Kodandaram said it was a historic moment for the people of Telangana and termed it a collective effort.Â
