New Delhi: The Men’s Asia Cup 2022 is all set to begin on the 27th of August with UAE becoming the host of the tournament this year. Men in Blue will take on Pakistan in an epic battle on 28th August.
The tournament will be played in a T20 format and the venues for the games will be Dubai and Sharjah. The finals will be played in Dubai on 11th September. Earlier Sri Lanka was the official host of the tournament but the venue was shifted to UAE due to the economic turmoil in the island nation.
India and Pakistan will face each other twice in the league stage game where both the teams will be looking to get a glimpse of the players ahead of the T20 World Cup. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will also be part of the tournament.
India will take on the tournament and defend their title as they won the last Asia Cup which was played in an ODI format.
Rohit Sharma led team will be looking to get back and take on Pakistan after suffering a humiliating defeat in their last encounter. Virat Kohli is expected to be part of the squad in the upcoming games ahead of the T20 World Cup scheduled later this year.
