A simple Reverse Image Search directed us to a couple of Twitter posts uploaded in 2016 that carried the same viral image. The tweet text read, “Gorakhpur MP and future Chief Minister (UP) Yogi Adityanath Ji, an example of simplicity —- Photo Credit Hargobind Pravah Ji.”
The same image was used in a couple of Facebook posts as well on April 26, 2016. Thus, it is evident that the viral image dates back to at least 2016 and is not recent.
Yogi Adityanath took oath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2017 and again in 2022 for a historic second term.
