Arvind Kejriwal slapped during roadshow in Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was slapped by a man in Delhi’s Moti Nagar area on Saturday. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Kejriwal was slapped when he was holding a roadshow in the national capital for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

A man, wearing a marooned-coloured shirt, climbed atop his car and slapped the Delhi chief minister on his face before being taken down by AAP chief’s supporters.

The man who slapped Kejriwal has been identified as Suresh of Kailash Park. According to the video, the man also abused Kejriwal. He has been taken to Moti Nagar police station. Police are trying to verify his identity.

It is being reported that the person who tried to slap Arvind Kejriwal was very angry with the AAP leader. He was already waiting and as soon as Arvind Kejriwal came, he jumped in front of his car and tried to slap Aam Aadmi Party’s leader Arvind Kejriwal.

A similar incident happened in April 2014 when Arvind Kejriwal was slapped by a man in Delhi’s Dakshinpuri area.

Four days later, Arvind Kejriwal faced another such attack after an unidentified man slapped him during a roadshow in Delhi. In 2013, Arvind Kejriwal has also been attacked with ink.

Polling in all the seven seats in Delhi will be held in a single phase on May 12.
