‘No mama or uncle in Defence deals,’ NaMo attacks Congress from Sonia’s Turf

Date:

Raibareli: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an attack on former Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the Congress Party from Gandhi’s turf Raebareli over multi-crore scams that took place in UPA regime.

In a stinging attack on Congress from Sonia Gandhi’s constituency Raebareli PM Narendra Modi said, “Today there are two sides before the country. One side is the govt that is trying to strengthen our forces. The other side that wants to weaken our forces at any cost. The country is the witness that Congress is standing with forces that don’t want our forces to strengthen.”

PM Modi further said:

“Some or the other foreigner was involved in every defence deal during UPA regime,” said the Prime Minister.

“Chopper scam accused Christian Michel was brought to the country a few days ago. Everyone saw how Congress sent their lawyer to save him,” said PM Modi.

PM Modi further attacked the Congress over its allegations on employment, saying the factory, which could employ thousands, had not been functioning for four years.

“I am proud to say that Raebareli coach factory will soon be a global hub. Just like UP, development in Raebareli is also fast-growing,” PM Modi said.

“This factory was approved in 2007. The aim was to make 1,000 new coaches. The factory was ready. But for 4 years, these coaches were taken for painting. The factory was never allowed to function,” PM Modi added.

PM Modi will also visit Prayagraj to review preparations for the Kumbh Mela to be held in the city from January 15th 2019.
