Arpinder Singh wins Gold in men’s triple jump, Dutee Chand bags Silver

It’s a Gold for India, Arpinder Singh made us hold our heads high after winning in men’s triple jump getting India it’s 10th Gold. His jump was recorded- 16.77. The Silver and the bronze medal was bagged by Uzbek’s Ruslan and China’s Shuo respectively. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted and congratulated the hero:

In another proud moment for India, Dutee Chand bagged Silver medal in track event- women’s 200m final. She finished her 200m final in 23.20 seconds behind Bahrain’s Edidiong Odiong who clinched the gold in 22.96. The bronze went to China’s Wei Yongli (23.27). Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted to congratulate Chand:
