CBI charges multiple cases against Karthi Chidambaram and Co after raids

CBI raided 14 offices of  Karthi Chidambaram, the son of Former Finance Minister, and Congress leader P. Chidambaram in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon. They found evidence to charge various cases against Kathi’s firm such as section 420 (Cheating), Section 13 (2) of IPC ACT 1998 against Karthi and his company.

The link Karthi’s management company Chess and INX Media company are charged with using influence to get deceitful proposal cleared by MoF and received 3.5 Crore kickbacks For Influencing MoF officials by the CBI.

Peter Mukherjea and Indrani Mukejea of INX Media has also been charged along with Karthi for the offense.

FAPB, on the other hand, is charged with the Fallocias proposal of INX MEDIA cleared by Finance Ministry. according to the CBI.

Karthi Chidambaram after the CBI briefing said that it’s a political Vendetta and a conspiracy to suppress his voice.

P. Chidambaram is asking for a probe against the FAPB and plays a victim card in the matter.

Arun Jaitley said “The day of reckoning has come for many” and also launched a new “Operation Clean Money” by adding that “No longer safe to deal with excessive cash”.
