Two leaders and one summit that promises world stability, peace

It was a new dawn for the world today. The historic deal inked between US President Donald Trump and the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is bound to change the geopolitics of not only of the Korean Peninsula but also of the world as we know it today.

The two world leaders, who traded bitter words and threatened nuclear war a few months back, today shook hands and agreed to bring the pariah nation into the international system.

It is a big diplomatic success for Donald Trump as he sat across the table with Kim, half his age, and with the help of translators firmed up the pact that which promises peace and stability in the region.  It was the first time that a sitting president of the US and leader of the North Korea met since the 1950 Korean War.

Though naysayers feel that Trump has not received much in return and the detailed contours of the agreement will emerge over time, the fact remains that history was made today. And succeeded in making a despot agree to denuclearise which will contribute to the global peace.
