Youths arrested for harassing girl students

Muzaffarnagar, Aug 30 (PTI) Two youths, including arelative of a local SP leader, have been arrested for allegedlyharassing two girl students in Kotwali police station areahere, police said today. Adnan, brother-in-law of Samajwadi Party city presidentRashid Siddiqui, and Tahiruddin harassed the girls followingwhich they reached the police station, along with their familymembers and others, and lodged a complaint, they said. On the basis of the complaint, the accused were bookedunder section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman withintent to outrage her modesty) of IPC, police said. The duo were then arrested, they said, adding supportersof the accused also gathered at the police station protestingthe arrest. PTI CORR DIP SMNDIP
