While the World is busy celebrating June 21 as International Day of Yoga after the United Nations General Assembly in 2014 adopted a resolution co-sponsored by 175 countries, the music lovers from around the World are also marking World Music Day on this day.

As per another theory, American musician Joel Cohen in France, in 1976, proposed an all-night music celebration to mark the beginning of the summer solstice and since then the entire world celebrates World Music Day on June 21.
