Every year Bollywood has a cluster of talent to entertain and surprise the audience. Having taken their first step into Bollywood, these newcomers give their best and are more determined post their debut movie. Well, not every movie turns out to be successful, but in Bollywood, only talent speaks.

Himansh Kohli

He marked his Bollywood debut with T-Series banner’s Yaariyan, directed by Divya Kumar Khosla. The movie starred many young actors and was a multi starrer film with debutants and the project was Divya’s debut directorial venture. Himansh Kohli’s performance in the film was quite good and the film too was received very well by the audience and did decent business at the box office.

 

Rakul Preet Singh

Delhi girl Rakul Preet Singh, who made her celluloid debut with the Kannada film titled Gilli, is a well- known name down south. She has done several Tamil and Telegu films, including Tamil film Thadaiyara Thaakka and also earned critical acclaim for her role. Singh was a part of Miss India pageant, where she won couple of subtitles, including Miss Fresh. The actress debuted in bollywood cinemas with T-series banner’s Yaariyan. The film did fine business at the BO and her performance was also appreciated by the critics.

 

Mohit Marwah

Anil and Boney Kapoor’s nephew, Mohit Marwah has a strong and sensible inclination towards films. Though his debut film, Fugly directed by Kabir Sadanand did not do well at the box office and did not impress audience, but the actor did a good job. The actor underwent a couple of extensive acting workshops to prepare for his role, which included body language, expression and speaking skills. Mohit holds a good chance to explore his talent in Bollywood.

 

Barbie Handa (Mannara)

Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Barbie, popularly known as Mannara debuted with Zid. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, produced by Anubhav Sinha, the movie released on November 28th. Though the film did not do well but being a part of the Chopra clan, people are still holding up their expectations.

 

Tiger Shroff (Jai Hemant Shroff)

Tiger Shroff debuted with ‘Heropanti’ directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie was a remake of Telugu film Parugu. Son of Bollywood star Jackie Shroff and Ayesha Shroff, Tiger’s performance in his debut film was applauded and became a runaway hit among youngsters for its fight and action sequences. The actor is a trained martial artist, and underwent flexibility and motion training for three years specially to prepare himself for his role in Heropanti. Tiger has developed an enviable physique and it is believed that the young gun even trained Aamir Khan for his body in Dhoom 3.  The actor has signed two more films.

 

Armaan Jain

Grandson of late Raj Kapoor, Armaan Jain made his debut with ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’ directed by debutant director Arif Ali, brother of Imtiaz Ali. Entire Bollywood was present at the screening of the film to support Armaan. Sadly, the movie was slammed by the critics and was a box office failure. Armaan, in the past, has assisted Karan Johar on My Name Is Khan (2010), and was also an assistant director on Shakun Batra’s Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012) that starred his cousin Kareena.

 

Jay Bhanushali

The actor debuted with the thriller Hate Story 2, though he did not share a lot of screen time with the other protagonists of the film, but he managed to do justice to his character in the film. The audience criticised his chocolaty image but the actor managed to get multiple offers. The actor was also seen in the movie ‘Desi Kattey’ that released within two months of his debut film.

 

Kriti Sanon

She debuted opposite debutant Tiger Shroff  in Heropanti, which as reported earlier turned out to be successful. Her performance was appreciated as well. The actress has her kitty filled with multiple movies with ‘A’ list actors. Kriti has been cast opposite Akshay Kumar in Singh Is Bling, an action comedy directed by Prabhu Dheva. She will be playing the role of a dancer. The movie is slated to release on July 31, 2015. Sanon has also been signed for Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.’s romantic thriller Farzi, opposite Shahid Kapoor. The actress will be seen opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Vikramaditya Motwane’s drama film Bhavesh Joshi. She has also signed Housefull 3.

 

Fawad Afzal Khan

This Pakistani actor has a huge fan following in the world and India is not too far behind. When the actor starred alongside Sonam Kapoor in Khoobsurat, one did not even think of him hogging the limelight. The film was based on a Hindi film ‘Khoobsurat’ previously released in 1980 starring veteran diva Rekha and was directed by Shashanka Gosh and produced by Rhea Kapoor. The actor played Yuvraj Vikram Singh Rathore, the prince of a royal family and he played it effortlessly. Though the movie did not impress critics, but they did write about the brilliant performance by Fawad.

 

Surveen Chawla

She took the critics and audience with a storm by her scorching screen presence and outstanding performance in ‘Hate Story 2’. The movie was directed by Vishal Pandya and produced by Vikram Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar. The simple looking Chawla who was previously a household name in Indian television serials has appeared on the silver screen in a bold and sexy avatar. The actress has been shooting a special number with John Abraham for his film ‘Welcome Back’.
