Origin and History:
The origins of Thanksgiving traced back to different historical events. In the United States, the traditional story centres around the Pilgrims’ feast in 1621 with Native Americans, expressing gratitude for a successful harvest. The origins of Canada’s Thanksgiving, or “Action de Grâce,” can be traced to the harvest festivals and gratitude rituals of the European explorers.
