SP Vaid transferred; Dilbagh Singh to take charge as J&K DGP

The DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, SP Vaid was transferred on Thursday with immediate effect.

According to the government order, tweeted by news agency ANI, DGP Prisons Dilbagh Singh will be acting DGP from now on.


The transfer order came just two days after B Srinivas was replaced by Abdul Gani Mir as the Additional Director General of CID.

According to the reports, the speculated reason behind the reshuffle is the recent abduction cases in the valley.

Recently, terrorists 12 people were abducted by the kidnapped including 3 policemen and 8 relatives of policemen. The hostages were set free hours after the police released around a dozen family members of terrorists, including the father of Hizbul Mujahideen.
