The reality show Bigg Boss 11, which was recently concluded, played host to crew members of several films and was party to their promotions. During the show, Sidharth Malhotra along with Aiyaary co-stars Manoj Bajpayee and Rakul Preet Singh visited the house to promote the film. But little did Sidharth know that he would land in trouble for one his statement on the show.

Actor Neetu Chandra got enraged to hear the actor insulting the Bhojpuri language. However, Malhotra has now apologised.
When Aiyaary team visited Bigg Boss, Manoj asked Sidharth to say a dialogue in Bhojpuri, “Shikar to sab kehu karela, lekin baagh jaisan sikar kehu na kare.”
Sidharth reiterated the lines after Manoj and said, “Aisa lag raha ki neeche baitha hua hai, latrine me. Bathroom me kar rahe hain ki kaha hain?”
The episode was aired earlier this month. But actor Neetu Chandra claimed that she saw the video only now and took to Twitter on Monday to slam Sidharth Malhotra for his insensitive statement.
Neetu Chandra wrote, “So disappointed @S1dharthM some1who is so fortunate 2 work wd d best. Who despite being an outsider has made a name 4 himself,4 U 2 use ur words so loosely.2 disrespect #Bhojpuri on national TV. SHOCKED! How on earth does speaking in #Bhojpuri gives u a latrine feeling.Shame on U.”

Neetu Chandra, sister of Nitin Chandra who directed the Nation Award-winning Bhojpuri film Deswa, was trolled for attacking a star on Twitter. She said that she is from Bihar and Bhojpuri is her mother tongue. The actor didn’t hesitate to answer most of them.
Sidharth responded to the backlash on Twitter saying, “I recently tried speaking a new language while I was on a TV show. In the process, if I inadvertently hurt anyone’s feelings or sentiments, I apologise and assure you that no disrespect was meant in any way.”
