Seed vending machine for kitchen gardeners in Tamil Nadu

Tiruchirappalli (TN), Sep 10 (PTI) Kitchen gardeners herewill now be able to get quality seeds at affordable cost witha vending machine having been installed in front of anagricultural college near Navalpattu. Quality seeds will be available at affordable pricesfrom the machine, put up at the entrance of Anbil DharmalingamAgricultural college and research Institute at Navalpattu. The refrigerated machine, which can store 1,800 packetsof seeds, can vend even minimum quantity for gardeners, theInstitute Dean D Pandiarajan said. "It will update sale of seeds on a daily basis and alertofficials in case of demand for a particular variety of seed,"said Pandiarajan. "It even has a burglar alarm system," he added.
