A gang of robbers allegedly dragged and raped four women for hours in the field, and one of their relatives was shot dead while trying to save them near Yamuna Expressway, Gautam Budh Nagar on Thursday, according to the police.

The heinous crime took place when a family of eight members was traveling to Bulandshahr from Jewar, Greater Noida in a car. The family was surrounded by the robbers and the gang of six looted all the cash and valuables from the family. After looting, the gang started dragging four women to the fields from the highway. Seeing this one of the relatives tried to save them and he was shot dead by one of the robbers, according to the reports.
The assailants were equipped with local hand-made pistols and knives according to the eye witnesses.
“It’s a heinous crime and FIR has been registered. The police teams have been deployed in the search of the robbers around the whole area”. said SSP, Gautam Budh Nagar.
“The women are being taken for a medical examination and the post-mortem has been done of the relative”.

This incident comes after 8 months of the similar incident that took place where robbers on waylaid family of 5 near the same location and they raped a 13-year-old along with her mother.
