Ravindra Jadeja Denies Accusations, Alleges Efforts To Damage His Wife’s Image

Date:

New Delhi: Amidst Ravindra Jadeja’s recovery from a hamstring injury, the all-rounder faced controversy on Friday (February 9) when his father allegedly made serious accusations against him and his wife, Rivaba, in a viral interview on social media. Jadeja has now responded to these allegations in a post on X (formerly Twitter), refuting all the claims and labeling them as an effort to tarnish his wife’s Image.

In an interview with a media outlet, the cricketer’s father, Anirudh Singh Jadeja, reportedly made grave accusations against his son and daughter-in-law. Jadeja, in his native language, responded, stating that the statements from the interview are unfounded and are being presented in a biased manner. He denied the allegations and expressed concern that there is an attempt to smear the image of his wife, who is also an MLA from the Jamnagar Constituency for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Ravindra Jadeja clarified that despite having much to say, he prefers not to discuss personal matters in public.

Just on Thursday (February 8), Jadeja marked 15 years in international cricket, commemorating his debut in an ODI against Sri Lanka in February 2009. He celebrated the milestone with a video expressing ’15 years of living my dream.’ Currently recovering from a hamstring injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, he aims to be fit for the third Test against England in his hometown, Rajkot.

In the first Test played in Hyderabad, Jadeja showed stellar performance, contributing with 80-odd runs in the first innings. However, he suffered an injury while attempting a run in the second innings and faced a run-out, courtesy of Ben Stokes’ brilliance. Despite the ongoing controversy, the cricketer is focused on regaining full fitness and making a swift return to the field.
