According to the World Population Data Sheet of 2018 revealed by the Population Reference Bureau, the population of India is expected to beat China by 8 per cent by mid-2030. By mid-2050, the expected population of India is likely to overtake China by 25 per cent.
PRB or Population Reference Bureau is a non-profit organization based out of Washington. Seeing the current figures by PRB, the population of India is estimated billion at 1.37 and that of China is estimated at 1.39 billion.
By mid-2030, India’s population would probably reach 1.53 billion and by mid-2050, it would be 1.68 billion, in comparison to China which by mid-2030 is likely to record its population at 1.42 billion and by mid-2050, it is likely to record the population at 1.34 billion.
Apart from the figures, India will also be called the most populous country in the world after replacing China in the World Population Data Sheet.
