Nisha Rawal Responds To Karan Mehra’s Charge, Says ‘Have Bipolar Disorder But Am Not A Psycho’

Date:

TV Actor Nisha Rawal called a press conference on Tuesday clarifying the accusation put on her by her husband, actor Karan Mehra. She also filed an FIR complaint after he allegedly hit her head against the wall on Monday.

The actor was arrested by Goregaon Police under IPC section 336, 337, 332, 504 and 506, The Hindu reported.

The actor was later granted bail, and subsequently gave multiple media interviews alleging that Nisha has bipolar disorder. According to India Today, the actor claimed that Nisha has filed a false case against him during a chat with their channel.

Karan, while speaking to The Indian Express, accused his wife and said she smashed her head on the wall in order to implicate him falsely.

Both the well known TV-actors tied the knot in November 2012 after dating for several years. They have a four-year-old son Kavish.

However, Nisha in her press conference accepted that she has bipolar disorder but said she “not a psycho” and said she is not at all ashamed to accept it. She put out several allegations against Karan, accusing him of having an extra-marital affair despite being married to her for 14 years now.

Nisha during the live press conference claimed that Karan has accepted that he is seeing someone else and does not pay enough attention to even their son.

She also told the press that he is the reason for her miscarriage. She said she was five months pregnant when she lost her child and accused him of being abusive and non-supportive.

While speaking to the media about what happened at their residence, she said, “Karan was trying to avoid discussion for a long time, when she and her brother Ritesh were trying to decide the alimony money, they had a major argument. She claimed that when she was trying to leave, he grabbed her by her hair and smashed her head against the wall.”

The couple’s recent posts on social media

Karan Mehra shared a video of their son on Twitter and wrote, “How quick they grow and start instructing you what to do. My water intake is taken care of by constant refills from the water dispenser and being served cutely by Kavish.” This was his last tweet before he got arrested.

Nisha Rawal also shared a post on Instagram with a photo with his son Kavish and captioned it with, “Watching the world through your eyes had been quite a sight my litloo. A promise to explore the world together with a smile on our faces that would warm sad hearts.”

Meanwhile, Twitter has suspended Nisha’s account for violating Twitter rules.

Karan Mehra is well known for his performance as lead Naitik Singhania in the Star Plus soap ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, one of the longest-running Indian television serials. While Nisha is best known for portraying the role of Soumya Diwan in TV serial ‘Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki’ on Life OK.

Karan was currently busy shooting for a Punjabi show and was staying in Punjab.

According to several reports, they were facing trouble with their marriage for a month now. They were working on fixing them.
