71st Republic Day is being celebrated across the country on Sunday. On this day in 1950, the Constitution of India came into force. The Republic Day parade will take place along Rajpath between 9 am and 11.30 am. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is the chief guest at the parade.
Before the parade begins, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty by laying a wreath at National War Memorial. CDS General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief Gen Naravane, Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh, Air Force Chief Air Marshal RKS Bhaduria also present.
