New Delhi: Senior journalist Deepak Chaurasia on Friday was allegedly manhandled and roughed up by some people while he was reporting at Shaheen Bagh where protests against the newly-enacted citizenship law and National Register of Citizens (NRC) have been ongoing since more than 40 days.
Chaurasia also shared a video from his ordeal on Twitter, saying: “We are hearing that the constitution is in danger, we are hearing that the fight is to save democracy! When I reached Shaheen Bagh to show the same voice to the country, there was nothing less than mob lynching!”
#CAAProtests #ShaheenBagh pic.twitter.com/EhJxfWviTp
