IGI Airport Awarded ‘Best in India and South Asia’

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi International Airport has been awarded with ‘Best in India and South Asia’ for the fourth time this year.

The IGI airport also stepped up the rank from 45th to 37th position.

Every year Skytrax World Airport Awards are been held where airports from different countries are ranked and awarded. The World Airport Awards were began 1999, when Skytrax launched their first customer satisfaction survey.

Talking about IGI airport it is the only airport from India which ranked among the top 50 airports. Also, it is the cleanest airport. Further, “All the airport staff, stakeholders and partners working at the airport have made Delhi airport the best airport in India and South Asia with their constant resilience, focus and customer centricity” quoted by Videsh Jaipuriar, CEO of Delhi International Airport Limited.
For this year, the survey was conducted for nine month time period from September 2021-May 2022.
