I’d rather slash my wrists’: Craig on reprising Bond role

Date:

“James Bond” actor Daniel Craig says he would rather kill himself than reprise his role as the 007 agent.

Craig, 47, who will be seen as the spy agent for the fourth time in the upcoming film “Spectre”, said if he did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.

“I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on. For at least a year or two, I just don’t want to think about it. I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea…”

The actor said he was not in discussion with anybody regarding his return as the British spy.

“I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”

There have been a lot of debate about who will take over as the next 007 agent but Craig says he has not thought about his successor.

“All I care about is that if I stop doing these things we’ve left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better. Go for it. Embrace it… Just make sure you’re great.

“You’ve got to push yourself as far as you can. It’s worth it, it’s James Bond.”

“Spectre”, also stars Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Andrew Scott and Dave Bautista among others.

The film is due to be released in the UK simultaneously with its London world premiere on October 26 before hitting the US on November 6 and in India on November 20.
