Head constable arrested for taking bribe

Ghaziabad, Aug 23 (PTI) A head constable was arrestedtoday while taking bribe from a person to release his vehicleseized earlier. A team of anti corruption organisation (ACO) arrested thehead constable, Rishi Pal, posted at Sahibabad police station. Assistant Superintendent of Police Aashish Srivastav saidthe ACO laid a trap based on a complaint of Rajeev, a residentof Sonipat, at the ACO office in Meerut. He said his truck which was truck was seized by Sahibabadpolice. Later, a court passed orders for the release of thetruck. But when he went to Sahibabad police station to get hisvehicle, Pal demanded Rs 12,000 as bribe. Pal was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe fromRajeev.
