New Delhi: Harsh Vardhan Shringla is appointed as the next High Commissioner of lndia to Bangladesh
Harsh Vardhan Shringla is 1984 batch IFS officer who is currently Ambassador of lndia to Thailand.
Shringla played a key role in tricky situations in Maldives including when Nasheed sought refuge in High Commission in Male; Myanmar’s new overture after 2010; and some tricky issues in Sri Lanka.
He was JS UN -Political when India was elected to UN Security Council as non permanent member in 2010; JS SAARC during Thimphu Summit and earlier has been Director in MEA looking after Nepal and Bhutan.
