‘Fat Amit Shah shouldn’t have entered Bihar’s small lift’

Date:

Patna: Taking a dig on Amit Shah’s lift incident, Rashtriya Janata Dal chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Friday taunted the BJP President for getting trapped in the lift of the state guest house for nearly an hour in Patna.

“Amit Shah shouldn’t have entered Patna lift as Bihar lifts are not made to carry such fat people,” Lalu said.

Amit Shah, on his two-day visit to Patna to inspect preparations for upcoming assembly elections, got stuck in a lift in Bihar state guest house for more than 30 minutes along with BJP’s party’s Bihar in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, Saudan Singh and two others on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, senior party leader Dr C P Thakur slammed Nitish Kumar-led state government for not providing adequate facilities and help to the BJP President during his visit to Bihar. Thakur said the episode may be a conspiracy to target Shah.

BJP worker Sanjay, who was also inside the lift, said: “We talked to a lot of people on phone but no one from the state government came to help.”

Party workers and CISF personnel guarding Amit Shah then broke open the lift to rescuse us, he added.
