FAKE Alert: 24-hour lockdown is NOT being imposed in Telangana after Eid

A message is being circulated on social media with a claim that a 24-hour lockdown is being imposed in Telangana following Eid, from May 26, 2020, onwards.

“24-hour lockdown in Telanga State from this Tuesday” the message read. 

 

According to the linked article in the post, in order to maintain social distancing immediately after Eid, Chief Minister of the state, K. Chandrashekar Rao has decided for a 24-hour lockdown.

It further reads that the 24-hour lockdown, with effect from Tuesday, might keep people inside homes just as Janta curfew had done.
