Ducati all set for its premium take off

The Volkswagen group’s Italian superbike – Ducati is on a roll to keep up with the double-digit growth in India and the volume seems to be going up to 100% within the next 3-4 years.

Besides the launch of four new products in India, the brand plans to open showrooms in Hyderabad and Chennai and there are thoughts of beginning a used-bike business with about 2000 Ducati bikes in India.

Ducati India that has a trade agreement with Thailand exports due to which some of its models are imported from Thailand.

The Indian edition has introduced 27 versions of the bikes to seven families and the four new versions entering the market this year include Scrambler 1100, Multistrada 1260, 2018 Monster 821, and the 959 Panigale Corse.

So far, 55,871 bikes have been sold in across the world with the USA and Italy being the two biggest markets. However, in India, the company is still catching pace and has till now sold around 500 bikes from last year and there has been a subsequent decline in the sales.
