Cheteshwar Pujara appointed brand ambassador of Gujarat EC

Rajkot: The Election Commission in Gujarat roped in star cricketer, Cheteshwar Pujara, as ‘brand ambassador’ in the drive of a voter awareness campaign to attract more voters in the forthcoming polls. Rajkot collector, Rajendra Kumar, officially announced Cheteshwar’s appointment as the state Election Commission’s brand ambassador at a joint news conference. Cheteshwar Pujara, said he would appeal the voters, young and old alike, to cast their vote. Rajkot collector, Rajendra Kumar added that for the last five years voter percentage has increased by 20 % to 70 % and this time they are expecting a larger voter turnout after Pujara becoming the face of promotional activities for the state polls.
