Canada participated in the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) as “Global Innovation Alliance partner” where Canadian regional partners from across the country shared insights on cost effective, innovative solutions, investment opportunities and local success stories with the Indian tech firms.
Consul General in Bengaluru, Ms. Nicole Girard, inaugurated the Canada Pavilion with Dr. CN Ashwathnarayana, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka and Mr. TM Vijay Bhaskar, Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka with other dignitaries.

During her welcome address, she said “Canada is a global innovation leader in AI, Fintech, and Cybersecurity, to name just a few. These are areas for greater collaboration we’d like to develop between Canada and India’s innovation capital, Bengaluru.”
Canadian technology law expert, Dr. Michael Geist, delivered keynote address for the Bengaluru Tech Summit entitled “Global Innovation and Impact: Grappling with AI Law and Policy Challenges”.
The expo is open until November 20, 2019. Visitors can discover Canada and meet representatives at the Canada Pavilion in the Main Hall at the expo venue – Bengaluru Palace, Jayamahal Road, Bengaluru.
