Raipur, Aug 26 (PTI) An assistant drug controllerwas today arrested by the anti-corruption bureau for allegedlyaccepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 in Chhattisgarh’s Durgdistrict. Ravindra Gendle (32), assistant drug controller, Durg,was caught after accepting a bribe from Omprakash Sahu forrestoring a shop license, an ACB official told PTI. Sahu runs a medical shop in Damdha. Its license wasrecently suspended by Gendle citing some reasons. To restore it, the officer demanded Rs 80,000. Sahu lodged a complaint with ACB. Gendle had asked Sahuto leave the money at a shop near his office. ACB arrested himtoday while collecting the money. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act wasregistered against him.
