Legendary actress Debbie Reynolds Dies at 84

The 84-year-old Debbie Reynolds was rushed to the hospital after suffering a possible stroke. “She wanted to be with Carrie,” her son Todd Fisher told weekly Variety.

Debbie shot to the stardom with her performance in 1952’s Singin’ in the Rain. She died a day after her daughter and Hollywood actor Carrie Fischer. The reason for their deaths was a heart stroke.

“Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter,” she posted on Facebook following her daughter’s death Tuesday. “I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop.”

Her twitter account says, “I’ve made a lot of movies the past 60 years. My two children are the lights of my life. I was married a few times-you may have heard about that.”
